Black Galaxies team manager, Edmund Ackah has called on football fans to come to the Cape Coast Stadium in their numbers.
In the 2022 CHAN Qualifiers, the Black Galaxies will take on their rivals in the final round of the qualifiers.
As part of preparations ahead of the game, the Black Galaxies suffered a 2-1 defeat to Qatar in Austria.
Speaking ahead of the first-leg tie, Ackah reiterated that he is confident of a win but called on the fans to come in their numbers ahead of the game.
“We are calling on the fans to come in their numbers to support the Black Galaxies,” he said.
“The playing body and the technical team have done their best and they will deliver but we need the supporters to come in their numbers on Sunday.
“We have not demanded anything but we will ensure we beat Nigeria to qualify for the CHAN,” he added.
The Galaxies, which is led by Annor Walker, Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Bismark Kobby Mensah are bent on qualifying for the CHAN this time around, following three successive misses by the nation at this tournament reserved for local-based players.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and his teammates eliminated Benin with a 4-0 aggregate in the first round last month. The Black Galaxies thrashed the Junior Squirrels 3-0 in the first leg in Cape Coast, before pipping them 1-0 in the return leg in Cotonou.
The tournament is slated for Algeria from January 8 to February 5 next year.
