The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the schedule for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The opening fixtures are slated to occur from Friday, September 6, 2024, through Monday, September 9, 2024, across all nine Premier League venues.
The league will run for 34 weekends and will wrap up on Sunday, June 8, 2025. To minimize travel for clubs, there will be no midweek matchdays.
Instead, midweek slots will be allocated for resolving outstanding games involving clubs in the 2024/25 Africa Inter Club Competitions or rescheduled matches.
A one-week break will be observed prior to the National Elections on December 7, 2024, allowing players and officials to fulfil their civic responsibilities.
The season’s end on June 8, 2025, will provide teams with sufficient time to meet CAF’s Club Licensing requirements for the 2025-26 season.
Fans are eagerly looking forward to the new season, which will kick off with the Champion of Champions match on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
