Black Stars midfielder Elisha Owusu has praised the state of the Accra Sports Stadium pitch ahead of their games against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The AJ Auxerre midfielder was part of the 11 players who trained at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon.
“It was good; I will not lie to you,” the midfielder told the press.
“The pitch was quite good and we had an amazing training today so we are really happy that everybody is doing their thing to help us play better football,” he added.
The Black Stars will clash with Sudan in a doubleheader in the Matchday three and four games of the qualifiers.
The Black Stars will host Sudan in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, with kick-off scheduled at 16:00GMT before travelling for the return leg on Monday, October 14 at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
Ghana will hope to secure wins against Kwesi Appiah’s side following a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Angola and a 1-1 draw against Niger in their first two games which leave them at the 3rd spot with a point.
