2025 AFCONQ: The Players Are Ready For Angola Game, Says Otto Addo

Black Stars coach, Otto Addo, has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for their upcoming match against Angola.

The Black Stars will face Angola at the Estádio 11 de Novembro later tonight in a crucial Matchday 5 fixture of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, with the match set to kick off at 19:00 GMT.

Addo and his players are eager to secure their first win of the qualifiers after a disappointing start.

Ahead of the game, the former Borussia Dortmund talent coach assured that his squad is in great form.

“Yeah, the boys look sharp and in really good condition,” the 45-year-old told the Ghana FA website.

“It’s a good atmosphere. We know about the importance of this match. For me, the boys look ready and sharp and like I said, it’s been a good atmosphere,” he added.

Currently, Ghana is in 4th place in Group F with just two points from four games. However, the Black Stars have been given a glimmer of hope following Niger’s 4-0 victory over Sudan on Thursday.

To stay in the qualification race, Otto Addo’s side must beat Angola and Niger while hoping Sudan loses to Angola.
