The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East, Honourable Benjamin Otoo has said that he’s of the firm believe that there’s no way electorates of Assin North will betray the NPP Parliamentary candidate, Charles Opoku in the upcoming by-election.
He said the people of Assin North will definitely vote for Charles Opoku because for every house you enter to campaign for him, what they say is that Charles Opoku is no stranger to them- they know him due to his benevolence to the constituency.
“I’m managing about three areas as we campaign for Charles Opoku and for every house you entered, about 75% of the people there are familiar with Charles Opoku. What this means is that the man has really prepared himself and it’s very obvious. I visited about seven churches on Sunday together with the campaign team excluding Charles Opoku and for every church we entered, the Pastors mentioned that they knew Charles Opoku- this perfectly describes the kind of relationship he has with the people”, he said.
“I can confidently say that there’s no way Assin North will betray Charles Opoku. He will be crowned the Member of Parliament on June 27th and we are vigorously campaigning towards that agenda”, he told Oheneba Asiedu on Movement TV.
He stressed that the misunderstanding that had occurred between the constituency party executive and members had been resolved and thus, every member of the party now is seriously campaign for Charles Opoku and thus there’s no way he’s going to lose the elections.
