Ahafo regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Owusu Sekyere has told ousted MP for Assin North, Gyakye Quayson to remorsefully apologize to residents of Assin North and Ghanaians at large.
According to him, the deceitfulness of the former MP has really affected the residents, as they have lagged behind in terms of development, since there’s nobody to lobby for development for them.
He mentioned that the NDC will woefully lose in the upcoming by-election and because they have no campaign message, they have resorted to cheap propaganda by telling Ghanaians especially electorates in Assin North that the NPP only needs Charles Opoku in Parliament just to vote against the Anti-LGBTQ bill- which he noted that doesn’t even make sense.
He was speaking to Oheneba Asiedu on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
He advised electorates to vote for the God fearing, compassionate, respectful and truthful Charles Opoku who will help bring development to Assin North.
“From all indications, it’s clear that Charles Opoku will emerge victorious in the upcoming by-election. From the feedbacks we’ve had from traditional rulers and residents, it’s clear that they desperately need Charles Opoku as their MP”, he said.
Adding that Gyakye Quayson will woefully lose the election and if he’s not lucky, he will end up in jail too.
“After the numerous promises he made to the people of Assin North, has he been able to fulfil even one of them? He needs to apologize to the residents and Ghanaians”, he emphatically stated.
