The constituency 1st Vice Chairman for NPP in Dome-Kwabenya constituency, Paul Opoku has noted that the constituency executives have accepted their MP, Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Sarfo’s apology.
However, he was quick to add that although the constituency executives have forgiven her, her fate of retaining her seat lies in the hands of the electorates.
“Whether Ghanaians like it or not Adwoa Sarfo is still the incumbent MP…she has a year and 4months more to serve, and therefore, we as the constituency executives will continue to work with her as she’s been remorseful and come to apologized. However, whether she will become the next Parliamentary candidate and eventually the MP is not for us to decide…we don’t have that power…”, he said.
He told Kwaku Dawuro that there was the need for constituency executives to work so hard with Adwoa Sarfo, in other to bring more development to the constituency.
“We need party unity to break-the-eight-year jinx and therefore, we don’t need to be holding grudges against each other”, he added.
