The joint transition team facilitating the transfer of power between the outgoing and incoming governments has established nine sub-committees to ensure a smooth process.
These committees, covering areas such as Finance and Economy, Social Sector, Legal and Governance, and Infrastructure, were formed during the team’s recent meeting in Accra.
They join the initial three committees overseeing Inauguration, Government Machinery, and the Presidency.
Each sub-committee comprises representatives from both sides, with co-chairs managing their activities.
Their primary task is to review handing-over notes submitted by ministries and agencies and provide recommendations to the main transition team.
Spokesperson Fatimatu Abubakar emphasized that all committees are working within the legal framework to complete their tasks promptly, fostering cooperation between both administrations.
