Presidential Candidate and Founder of Liberal Party Ghana, Percival Kofi Akpalu, says 90% of Ghanaians, especially the youth prefer being given money, to acquiring knowledge in making money.
In an interview on Movement In The Morning, with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Mr Akpalu lamented on how most Ghanaian youth are spendthrifts. According to him the youths are reluctant when it comes to learning how to legitly make money for themselves but prefers to be given money and end up spending unnecessarily.
He said ”A typical example is Zoom lion which is owned by Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong who identified the issue of dirt after he returned from abroad and came about with the idea of a tricycle to help solve it. Now there is something going on that hinders the youth from acquiring wealth because they do not have the knowledge.
When i have $1million in my possession, and i place a tablet on the table which teaches 5 ways to make money, people will choose the money and until we know the secret we can’t help ourselves. So our problem is the inability to decide between how to learn ways of making money, and being handed over money and about 90% of Ghanaians prefer getting money to being taught how to make money.”
