The former Ashanti Regional organizer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Agyenim Boateng has said comparing the NPP to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a huge mistake as the latter do not come anywhere close to the former.
He said this when he joined Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning Show.
According to Agyenim Boateng the ‘politics of equalization’ cannot come to play when it comes to the NPP-NDC achievements.
He said that ‘’while in opposition, the NPP presented policies and the things they would do different when given the nod. The issue is different with the NDC. When Fred Agbenyo, the deputy International Relations of the NDC got fine opportunity to tell Ghanaians what they will do which is not already in existence, he only criticized. Former President John Mahama was also asked what he will do to help in the revive of Ghana’s economy, he also couldn’t say anything”.
He added that some of the NPP members are fond of comparing their party to that of the NDC.
‘’We cannot compare the two parties; it is up to us to make things right as we prepare for the 2024 elections”, he added.
The conversation around the comparison of the two parties’ has been triggered by the depreciation of the cedi and the economic recession; however these have been related to external factors such as the Russian-Ukraine war, Covid-19 and dollarization.
