The former Member of Parliament(MP) for Ekumfi Constituency, Hon. Ato Cudjoe, has called on Journalist to depict professionalism in their line of duty.
His comment comes after some Journalists have shifted from their mandate to promoting propagandas content for their personal interest.
Speaking Hon Cudjoe said that ‘’every media house has the right has to pursue their political interest but they should be professional in their dealings. CNN used to promote Democrats, until recently when they got a new owner who changed the direction. Belonging to a particular political party is not a big deal but they should have boundaries in terms of criticizing the other political party whose ideas they do not believe in-their affiliation becomes soo obvious’’.
”One Journalist sat on radio to say he helped the NPP to win power and have been neglected, due to that he has risen against the government. Captain Smart also said he was so closed to President Akufo-Addo because he took a picture of him holding his water. It’s never true, he was never closer to him’’, he added.
He added that the NPP as a party should strategically promote their interest through the media.
