Musician Kirani Ayat, has disclosed that the Ghana Tourism Authority have finally settled his kerfuffle with them with a compensation.
Speaking in an interview with Shatta Michy on Movement Showbiz on Friday, October 21, 2022, the ‘Guda’ hitmaker Kirani Ayat who has been in the news for sometime due to a misunderstanding between himself and the Ghana Tourism Authority, admitted to being finally settled by them.
”I feel like with issues like this, there’s that expectation to take it to court but even if you take it to court and the parties are like hey we’ve admitted of wrongdoing, can we settle this out of court, even the court would advise that yes if they have admitted, definitely settle it because there’s no point going back and forth. If they have admitted, the judge will be like go and sort it out, you get what I mean. If it makes sense for you great, if it doesn’t make sense for you whilst you’re sorting it, then you can come back and be like hey I don’t agree with what they’re trying to do with me and I think we should proceed. Yeah so people were saying take it to court but since the relevant bodies have admitted the wrongdoing, I think there’s no need to proceed to court. The best choice was to solve it amicably out of the court system so yes I’ve been compensated and it happened this week,” he said.
This comes after Kirani Ayat called out the Ghana Tourism Authority in a twitter post for using some visuals of his ‘Guda’ song, in a Tourism promotional video for the president without his consent weeks back.
