Callum Hudson-Odoi Black Stars Callup

A player on the radar of the Ghana Football Association and the black stars in the past few months has been a Chelsea player on loan to Bayer Leverkusen, Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The star winger scored his first goal for the German outfit last night in a thrilling encounter against Atletico Madrid. With the showpiece in Qatar a few days away, Hudson-Odoi might be on his way to representing either England or Ghana.

It is rumoured by many sources that the Bayer Leverkusen player made a provisional squad list for the Black Stars by Coach Otto Addo.

Per FIFA regulations, Hudson-Odoi can successfully switch nationalities from English to Ghanaian early next month after playing already for England at the senior level. Many Ghanaians are of the view that it is for this reason his switch has been stalled for this long.

Hudson-Odoi himself in a recent interview said he was open-minded about the nationality switch and would want to perform at the highest level while being fit.

Would Hudson-Odoi be a good addition to the Black Stars?

Will he bolster the team’s chances of success?

What do you think?
