Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North constituency, Honorable Collins Adomako-Mensah, has revealed that property rate will be one of the key revenue measures, the New Patriotic Party Government will implement in 2023.

Speaking on Movement In The Morning on Movement TV/Wontumi radio with Kwaku Dawuro, he noted that one of the important measures which will boost the public purse, and would take effect come January 2023 will be Property rates.

According to Collins Mensah, more attention will be channeled to it and would be tackled all serious is.

Mr Collins Adomako-Mensah said ”I’m hoping the Government will announce some measures that can increase our revenue. I’m hearing property rate which was spoken about in the 2022 budget is quite a difficult task. Identifying and valuing buildings took some time, and i got to know it was spearheaded by Dr Bawumia’s office.

They’ve been able to identify 8.5million houses in Ghana according to the census and fortunately every house has a digital address which has been linked to a particular system so hopefully come January 2023, property rate will take off and be one of the key measures this government will implement.”
