Former President John Mahama has been described as a “highly contemptuous” character by Lawyer Maurice Ampaw.
His lack of respect for the Judiciary, should guard the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against electing him as their flagbearer for the 2024 elections, Lawyer Ampaw advised on Wontumi TV last Sunday on the Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem show.
“Mahama is highly contemptuous. He doesn’t respect the judiciary and he doesn’t deserve to be flagbearer of any party just like Kennedy Agyapong”, he said.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw is calling on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to disqualify Hon. Kennedy from their flagbearership contest.
Until the Member of Parliament for Assin Central renders an apology to the Judiciary for insulting a judge, lawyer Ampaw claims he shouldn’t be considered a part of the flagbearership contest.
“Agyapong has to be disqualified by the NPP. He is a non-starter; he has insulted the judiciary and must be facing jail term. He has even called for coupe d’etat”, lawyer Ampaw said as reasons to disqualify Mr. Kennedy Agyapong.
Addressing the issue on Wontumi TV which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, lawyer Ampaw stated that the court must deal with Mr. Agyapong in the same manner it treated some UTV pundits who disrespected the court on air.
