The 31-year-old is top of manager Aitor Karanka’s list of players for next season, as he seeks to strengthen his team following a difficult 2021/22 campaign.
Granada are currently battling for survival, but the club is already planning for whatever outcome at the end of the season.
GHANASoccernet.com can report that talks are set to begin between the two parties, with Wakaso opened to a return to Spain, where he flourished most part of his career.

The ex-Celtic player has rich experience in Spain after playing for Elche CF, Villarreal CF, RCD Espanyol, UD Las Palmas, and Deportivo Alavés.
The hardworking midfielder moved to China in 2020, where he first played for Jiangsu Suning, helping them win the Chinese Super League before he later joined Shenzen FC.
