France duo Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni have experienced racist online taunts as a result of their missed penalties in the World Cup final on Sunday.
Argentina defeated France 4-2 in a penalty shootout, preventing France from successfully defending the trophy.
Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez saved Coman’s penalty, but Tchouameni’s attempt missed the target.
Coman has received support from his team Bayern Munich.
“FC Bayern strongly condemn the racist comments made towards Kingsley Coman,” said the German club in an online statement.
“The FC Bayern family is behind you, King. Racism has no place in sport or our society.”
