The Deputy director of Communication for the New Patriotic Party, Krobea Asante, has declared the upcoming 2024 election as one that will be a contest of ideas.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Krobea highlighted the fact that the 2024 elections is not going to be about violence. He said this in reference to the the violence and illicit activities which took place at the recent elections of the National Democratic Congress.
Mr Asante asserted that ”When you follow up with the commentaries of the likes of Fiifi Quartey and Asiedu Nketia, it looks as if they are preparing their party for war. My brother, the 2024 elections will be purely contest of ideas. It shall be contest of what you used your power to do when you were voted into power, against the power of the ruling government.
2024 elections won’t be a matter of violence or who has the know-how of using a gun, it is a matter of who can utilize the powers given to them through elections, and fix things especially in such difficult times like this, as well as your policies and programs being able to be of help to the country.”
He added that ”That is what will be the basis for who wins the elections in 2024, and i can assure you that as Ghanaians have tried and tested both parties, they can attest that NPP is a party that admits when we are in bad times and we don’t renege on our responsibilities but assure Ghanaians that we can fix things.”
