Former Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has finally broken silence after his resignation.
Taking to twitter on Saturday, January 7, to thank the President, H.E. Nana Addo for the opportunity to serve and for graciously accepting his resignation as Cabinet minister responsible for Trade and Industry, Mr. Kyerematen said he will be addressing Ghanaians in the next few days on what’s next for him.
He tendered in his resignation letter on Thursday, January 5 and same was accepted by President Akufo-Addo on Friday, January 6.
In a statement sign by the Communication Director at the Presidency Eugene Arhin, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has been replaced by Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta who is to act as the caretaker minister.
Many have predicted that his resignation is to focus on his presidential ambitions.
“I sincerely appreciate the support from my family, colleagues, my party the NPP, the international community, and the general public during my tenure as a Minister”, he said in his post.
Adding that “I will be addressing the Ghanaian people in the next few days”.
