A parliamentary candidate hopeful on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Akwatia constituency, Nana Obeng Danquah has noted that the Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the reason for which the NDC has changed their leaders in Parliament.
According to him, the NDC thinks Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson is the best candidate to rub shoulders with the Vice President, on matters of economy.
“But you see the truth of the matter is that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) can never be compared to the NPP. They had to disappoint Haruna Iddrisu because of the Vice President, Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia. They had always denigrated the Vice President, said all sort of things about him, but realized he’s a threat to them and hence the need to change their leadership in Parliament”, he told Kwaku Dawuro on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
Adding that “there’s nobody in Ghana that could challenge or debate the Vice President on matters of the economy. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson can never match Dr. Bawumia and hence we should be proud of ourselves as a political party”, he said.
He stressed that the NDC have no regards for their loyalists. “Things like this can never happen in the NPP. We practice decent politics and give honour and respect to whom it is due”, he added.
