A deputy director of communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Krobea Asante, has said that the party cannot afford to lose elections 2024.
According to him, after all several pro- poor policies and interventions rolled out by the government and yet it loses elections 2024 due to internal wranglings, Ghanaians will never forgive the party.
“Taking a look at the flagship programs and interventions rolled out by the NPP government led by President Akufo- Addo, we cannot afford to lose elections 2024 and Ghanaians will not even forgive us if we do- they will punish us if out of our own internal wranglings, we lose the elections”, he spoke on Movement in the morning show on Wontumi Radio/Movement TV.
He added that considering the successes the party has been able to chalk during its term in office, if they are able to unite as one people devoid of apathy, elections 2024 is a must win for the NPP.
“What we need most is unity of purpose. Definitely there will be statement and counter statement once we have a contest ahead of us, but we must be measured in the kind of utterance we make, and this goes to the supporters of potential candidates. Let’s all keep in mind that when the elections are over, we need each other to win elections 2024”, he stressed.
In furtherance, he said what is needed most at the moment is to help Nana Addo succeed – when it happens so, whoever that will be presented as a candidate for elections 2024 will equally succeed.
“That should be the ultimate agenda. We need a very strong and unity front to break the eight”, he concluded.
