A communications specialist at the Presidency, Lady Vera Wiredu, has urged the rank and file of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), to propagate the good works of the party in order to ensure that the party stays in power.
She noted that as members of the party, the priorities of President Akufo-Addo and his Vice Dr. Bawumia should be their concerns.
“Despite the numerous interventions, polices and projects executed by the government, there seems to be some sort of lamentations even among party folks. So, you could imagine what would have been the situation if NDC was in power. What were they able to do even when there was no COVID-19, Russia-Ukraine war”, she spoke on Movement in the morning show.
Adding that “due to the global crisis, even the giant economies like the U.S.A. owe trillions. Japan’s currency has depreciated drastically as we speak. Meanwhile, people are trooping in the country to invest. This is clear indication of the strides Ghana has made as far as our economy is concerned”.
According to her, none of government’s pro-poor polices have been affected by the global crisis. Government is still constructing roads, hospitals, expanding infrastructures in various SHS, construction of railways, Increment in salary of public sector workers by 30%.
“This is the more reason why party folks must enhance their communications and propagating of government’s work. Because the NDC has nothing good to offer. They just say all sort of things because they only want to come into power”, she said.
