A communications team member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alfred Ababio Kumi, has said that what the NDC is better known for is to spell doom.
This comes on the back of some assurance from President Akufo-Addo that his government will confront successfully the difficulties the country is faced with.
“It was very right that the President gave such an assurance. Because, when John Mahama and the NDC speaks, it’s always about spelling doom. Therefore, its better the President spoke to give hope to the citizenry because times are indeed hard and therefore Ghanaians ought to know what measures the government was/is taking”, he said.
Adenta Kumi, as he’s affectionately called made this known when he joined a panel discussion on Movement in the morning show on Movement TV/Wontumi Radio.
Applauding the President for such a move, Adenta Kumi noted that Ghanaians will bear witness that the current economic situation was borne out of global crisis because it used not to be so. However, government has taken many measures including the IMF bailout.
According to him, he has friends and family in the USA who are equally going through hard times and hence when people turn to downplay the effect of the Russia-Ukraine war, on global economies with the perception that the government of Ghana is spewing lies, it saddens his heart.
“We need to thank God that our economy didn’t crash- and also pray for more grace for our leaders”, he added.
