It’s An Exercise In Futility- Awal Mohammed On NDC’s True State Of The Nation’s Address

A communications team member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Awal Mohammed has described the NDC’s true state of the nation’s address as an exercise in futility.

According to him, it’s a move to divert attention from some distasteful words of former President Mahama, which they know would go against the fortunes of the party.

“There’s no single communicator in the party that speaks for the NDC more than Lawyer Martin Kpebu. However, when Martin Kpebu told Mahama to return all his ex-Gratia, to sow his seriousness in scrapping the payment of ex-gratia when he’s elected as President, the former called Lawyer Kpebu silly”, he said.

He was speaking on Movement in the morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.

He stressed that ever since former President Mahama called Martin Kpebu silly, he has never granted any interview. Adding that why would a former President use certain words like ‘silly’ and ‘stupid’.

“The NDC is very much aware that such words could ruin the chances of the party in the 2024 elections and thus in order to divert attention, they decided to organize a true state of the nation’s address. It’s an exercise in futility”, he furthered.
