If Not For Politics, Asiedu Nketia Has No Moral Right To Criticize Gov’t- Atta- Sarpong

Deputy Ashanti Regional organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Atta Sarpong, has stated that if not for politics, Asiedu Nketia has no moral right to criticize government.

He said that the national Chairman of the NDC has amassed wealth for himself, as the mansion he lives in, in his hometown alone, calls for alarm yet he is lamenting over hardship in the country.

According to him, because the NDC knows government has mitigated the suffering and hardship Ghana was faced with following the global crisis, they are still trying every possible means to make the government unpopular hence the reason he presented the true state of the nation’s address.

“But if you compare what is happening now to what happened in 2008, you will realize they even did worser than this, to the extent that some members of the NPP had believed their lies”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.

Speaking on Movement in the morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, he said that the NPP is the only political party that remain truthful and honest to the citizenry, because they always make it known to the people whenever there’s an economic hardship.

He further that Mahama should be made to answer questions on why he always sympathizes with the government and citizens on the current economic hardship caused by global crisis on international platforms- however, turns to say otherwise whenever he’s speaking in Ghana.

“This is a clear indication of hypocrisy. Perhaps, like he mentioned earlier ‘Ghanaians have short memories’, so he’s decided to take us for granted”, Atta-Sarpong said.
