Mohammed Salisu Missing Games Due To ‘Doubts Over Commitment To Southampton’ – Reports

Black Stars defender, Mohammed Salisu continues to miss out on Premier League club, Southampton’s games recently due to “doubts over his commitment” to the club.

This is according to The Athletic, with the report coming on the back of Salisu’s absence in Southampton’s 1-4 loss to Manchester City this weekend in the English Premier League.

Salisu’s contract with the relegation-bound Southampton runs out in June 2024 but his fine play has attracted interest from the likes of Newcastle United.

The Former Real Valladolid player recovered from injury to play in Southampton’s 0-2 loss to Brentford as fellow defender Armel Bella-Kotchap was forced to leave the game early to a shoulder injury.

The soon-to-be-24-year-old played 83 minutes in Southampton’s 3-3 draw with Tottenham Hotspur before missing out on both games for Ghana against Angola during the international break due to a knock.
