To Break The 8, NPP Leadership Must Prioritize And Reorganize Party From Grassroots-Musah Superior

A General Secretary hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Musah Iddrisu better known as Musah Superior, has lambasted the national executives of his party for neglecting members at the grassroots level.

According to Superior, breaking the eight mantra can only be realized if the party prioritizes and reorganizes from the grassroots to the national level.

Raising the above concern on  Movement In The Morning Political Show, the former Tamale Mayor lashed out at the current national executives indicating that the current administrative structure is not functioning effectively.

According to him, some members of the NPP especially the grassroots members are disgruntled because the party’s leadership is not concerned about their welfare -a situation he is hoping to change when he becomes the chief scribe.

He made these observations after visiting 75 constituencies in 12 regions as part of his PEOPLE’S CAMPAIGN tour.

“How do they work effectively without laptops, mobile phones and other logistics?. These are issues I will be addressing if I’m elected”, he emphatically stated.

The founding fathers of NPP he said, established the party with principles which should serve as a precedence for others to follow.

He further went on to state that bridging the gap between members at the grassroot level and national executives, is his top priority; remarking that the model used by Dan Botwe and Lord Commey during their tenure as General Secretary respectively should be a blueprint for any aspiring General Secretary of the party.

“The party’s research department is very poor. There’s currently no data to back the official members of the NPP”, he revealed.

“Since we came to power, the party had no plans to cater comprehensively for the welfare of the hardworking party officers, which consequentially contributed to the party’s poor performance in the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections”, he indicated.

There should be no excuse for the NPP  loss of 32 seats in Parliament, Musah Superior explained and cautioned the current national executives of his party not to superintend over the disqualifications, machinations, favouritism and imposition of candidates on the constituencies which can cause the downfall of the party.
