A member of the NPP communications team, Alfred Ababio, has questioned the morale right of former President John Mahama to say that he would repair free SHS policy when elected.
According to Adenta Kumi what track record does he have as former statesman to say that the policy wasn’t well thought through for which he would want to repair it.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, he said “former President Mahama had six years as President. First two years as acting President and four years as substantive President. But what was he able to do? He should tell us what he did during his tenure- All he could say is infrastructure, forgetting that the easiest thing to do is to build.”
Adding that if it’s just about building of hospitals, then everyone at all could just contact an architect, give them a plan and get a loan to build. But leadership goes beyond structures.
“One should be much concerned about how the citizenry could get access to affordable health. Many are unable to access healthcare due to financial constraints and therefore policies like the National Health Insurance Scheme should be implemented- so that health doesn’t becomes wealthy”, he said.
He dared the NDC to provide one social intervention they implemented during their tenure in the 4th republic.
“The game in the country is becoming too much. Politics is about human lives- the NDC ought to know this. He’s doing all this because he’s desperate for power. We need to start reminding Ghanaians about how wicked the NDC government has been”, he concluded.
