Qatari Investor Sheikh Jassim Makes Improved Offer For Manchester United

Qatari investor Sheikh Jassim has submitted an improved offer for the club.

According to BBC Sport, Sheikh Jassim presented the new proposal on Tuesday following discussions with the Raine Group, who are overseeing the process.

The Qatari’s revised offer includes a complete takeover of Manchester United, promising to clear the club’s debt and establishing a separate fund dedicated to supporting the team and the local community.

This latest bid intensifies the competition between Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe for control of the renowned football club.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has also presented his own proposals, which include both a full takeover of Manchester United and an alternative plan where the current owners, the Glazer brothers Avram and Joel, would retain a minority stake in the club.

Interestingly, Avram Glazer was recently spotted at a hotel owned by Sheikh Jassim’s father, adding fuel to the speculation surrounding the ongoing negotiations.

The Glazers have fallen out with the fans who are demanding the complete sale of the club. Man United have had a mixed season, winning the Carabao Cup and reaching FA Cup final, but failed in Europe and are struggling to finish in Premier League top four.
