Broadcast Journalist with Wontumi Multimedia, Kwaku Dawuro has expressed profound gratitude to Chairman Wontumi for his enormous support and dedication to ensuring that the NPP recaptured the Kumawu seat.
Speaking on his show on Movement TV/ Wontumi radio, he noted that the NPP is forever grateful to Chairman Wontumi because had it not been for him, the electorates of Kumawu would have never voted for NPP, because they lost trust in the party.
“This is the main reason why some of us resisted against the removal of Chairman Wontumi as the Ashanti regional chairman of the party because we knew the vacuum could have never been filled. He’s a treasure to the party. When Kumawu had lost faith and trust in the NPP government, it took people like Chairman Wontumi to reenergize the place and rebuild the faith the electorates had in NPP and that resulted in the landslide victory we had- we all must be grateful to him”, he categorically stated.
Describing him as an election winning machine, he noted that once Chairman Wontumi has decided to win the Assin-North seat also for the NPP, that target will be materialized.
“You can’t take that away from him. He’s an election winning machine and just as he has disclosed that Assin North is his next target, we are all going to follow him to the constituency.”, he said.
He furthered that like Chairman Wontumi first broke-the-eight-year jinx in Ashanti region, he believes he could help the NPP break-the-eight too.
