Spokesperson for Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto’s campaign team, Dr. Prince Sokode Amuzu has said that with former President Mahama leading the NDC as flagbearer is a clear indication that the NPP will break-the-eight-year jinx.
He explained that comparing the pedigree of the Presidential aspirants hopeful for the NPP to John Dramani Mahama, the latter comes nowhere closer to the former and that is the reason for which he knows the NPP will definitely win elections 2024.
Adding that it is for this reason that the NDC has decided to deliberately tarnish the image of the Electoral Commission so that when they lose the general elections, they will blame the EC for conniving with the NPP to rig the elections.
He said this on Movement In The Morning Show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.
“There’s no way Mahama could compare himself to those in the NPP who are vying for the flagbearership position. These are prestigious people with credibility. This is the more reason the NDC is accusing the NPP of sleeping in bed with the EC. But they ought to know that the outcome of the result lies on Ghanaians and not the Electoral Commission (EC) and Ghanaians are definitely to honour the NPP for the good service to the country”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.
Stressing that although all those competing for the flagbearership position in the NPP are competent, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto stands tall to help the party win elections 2024.
