I’m Too Convinced That NPP Will Win The Assin North Seat- Salam Mustapha

National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha has noted that he’s too convinced that the NPP will win the Assin South seat in the upcoming by-election.

He said that the campaign is ongoing very well and from the way they NPP has organized its campaign in the Assin North constituency, his mindset about the election has changed.

In explaining further, he disclosed that the indigenes of Assin North are highly disappointed in Gyakye Quayson for deceiving them.

“For every community we have visited so far, the electorates have vented their angry, expressing their disappointment in their former Member of Parliament, for causing them harm. The residents say, Gyakye Quayson goes about telling them that the NPP is deliberately hunting him, the reason for which he’s unable to perform his duties as MP- meanwhile, that isn’t true. He’s violated the laws of the land”, he said.

“How do we torment him as a party, when I don’t even know him. I haven’t even met him before. It’s the palpable lies that has resulted him into this. This, according to the resident, has retarded their development as a constituency because he’s always in court when he should have been in Parliament”, he added.

Salam Mustapha noted that if there’s anybody that has disrespected Ghana as a country to the highest pedigree, then it’s James Gyakye Quayson.

Stressing that if the ousted MP was reasonable enough, he would have renounced his allegiance to Canada after the NDC had disqualified him in 2012 yet he decided to still maintain the citizenship.

“The fact that you’ve lived in Canada doesn’t give the audacity to come and disrespect us”, he said.
