Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa, Honorable Kofi Okyere Agyekum, has called for a peaceful, free and fair elections for the New Patriotic Party in the upcoming days.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning show, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Honorable Agyekum admitted to being in terms with the guidelines for the for the upcoming elections, alongside other stakeholders in Parliament.
According to him using serial number in the elections will aid in convenient and accurate collation.
In response to members of Parliament being stakeholders in the upcoming elections being okay, he said ” for me I am okay. What I’ll say is for everyone to vote once as we do everytime, and use complicated serial number that cannot be tracked. If we do not do it that way, collating it would be stressful. If you vote for Bawumia or the others it’d be sorted out easily and within 3 hours, everything would be collated otherwise it would be cumbersome and complicated. So for me that is the simplest, and our people in charge have the intelligence to do that.
Anything to make the balloting free and fair that is secrecy and transparency. Voting in Ghana here is done in secret so I don’t think anyone who is fair minded will have an issue with that.”
