Coexist With Each Other Despite Your Differences- Awal Mohammed Preaches Peace To Candidates

Communication team member of the New Patriotic Party, Awal Mohammed, has advised the Presidential aspirants and MPs to relate peacefully with each other.

Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Awal was of the view that NPP members need each other to be able to deliver, hence there was no need for the involvement of individual personal differences.

He stated that ” I know someone whom i facilitated in securing his current job and is now a spokesperson of one of the candidates. He feels the vision his candidate has is greater than that of Dr Bawumia, so he feels he has to vote for him. If we had wanted to do it in a monarchy or NDC form, we would push for just one person to go, but no we have decided to do it at the level playing ground. If you have something, say it we have a committee set up to attend to that. Previously when we did balloting nine of them had grievances, which the party asked that we hold on two days after, everything was resolved for everyone to know their fate by conducting another ballot.

That is what we want to do, let’s build consensus, bridges and how we have our campaign. Some candidates for instance Effigyaso Asokore, everyone knows when you go to Ashanti region, people having the campaign for Bawumia play an important role and with Kennedy Agyapong’s constituency, he was there to meet him. Suame MP, Kyei Mensah Bonsu majority leader went to meet Kennedy Agyapong and spoke highly about some qualities he has that has been of help to the party, yet he said Dr Bawumia is the best person. That is the beauty of it so if you’re an MP on Dr Bawumia’s side and you see Akoto coming greet him, as well as everyone because regardless of winner, if you the candidate doesn’t win, you both will still need each other to work.”
