Chairperson for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for Canada branch, Vicky Owusu-Ansah has responded to those who0 say the Vice President has deviated from his mandate as an economist to a digitalization.
She said that the economy works hand in hand with digitalization and there’s no way a country could improve upon its economy without digitalization.
Indicating that it helps fights corruption, which in turn helps save the country some money.
“It’s just like the Ghana card…. there were a lot of stiff rejection from some section of Ghanaians who may not know the essence and benefit of that card. As we speak, if I provide my driver’s license to any policeman in the state and my number plate is entered into their system, they will get to know where I live, where I come from and whether or not I’ve insurance. They can do all these with just a click of a button”, she said this during an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.
“Digitalization works together with the economy…it becomes very easy accessing certain services when they already have your info and detail in their system…getting certain information from the DVLA should be easy…and I’m super excited that today with the help of the Ghana card, one is able to access so many things…it is connecting us to so many thing and today, you’ve easy access into the airport when you have your Ghana card…these are the things we are talking about”, she noted.
