Spokesperson for Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Dr. Prince Amuzu, has said that NPP is a party with high democratic credentials.
Noting that there are a lot of people who travel outside the country to come and copy from the NPP.
“NPP has a big responsibility and that is the reason for which we need to ensure that whatever we are doing we do it right…when people raise concerns, there’s the urgent need to address them and not rubbish it…There’s the need for people to have confidence in the system and thus, with any little suspicion, the executives of the party must clarify things”, he said on Movement TV.
He cited concerns raised by Alan Kojo Kyeremanten that triggered his resignation, as an example. Adding that there was the urgent need for the party to address the assertions.
He furthered that whoever emerges victorious during the November 4 elections, will have the support of the party members to ensure that NPP wins the 2024 elections.
” I am expecting all 10 aspirants who pulled head to contest the flagbearership race to come together after the 4th of November elections, to play active role in the party’s campaign, to ensure that the party breaks. Ghanaians will not forgive us if we don’t win this election…there’s the need to have a united front in the run up to the general elections”, he added.
