A member of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communications team, Kafui Amegah is of the opinion that even if Dome-Kwabenya MP, Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Sarfo loses her primaries, she will still be needed to campaign for the general election.
According to him, although some delegates and constituents are disgruntled over her decision to desert the constituency and parliament, she still has others who love her and will continue to support and follow her and that is the reason she needs to be on NPP’s campaign trail.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio, Kafui said that “if Adwoa Sarfo wants to contest again in Dome-Kwabenya as MP, I think without the approval and blessing of the constituency chairman, Chairman Bonu, then there’s no way she can emerge victorious. Her apology is coming in very late. However, it’s better late than never…the truth of the matter is that she’s generally liked by the electorates of Dome-Kwabenya.
Noting that Adwoa Sarfo could pull a surprise by winning, if only the executives of the constituency will throw their weight behind her.
“I doubt the executives will disqualify her when she contests for the parliamentary candidature…even if she doesn’t win the primaries, we will need her to help the party in the general election…she cannot be underwritten just like that because she still has influence in the constituency”, Kafui said.
