Chairman Wontumi Directs Party Flags Fly At Half Mast To Honour Late Okyem Aboagye

The Ashanti regional chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has directed that all party flags fly at half-mast in the region, to mourn the demise of the late Bantama MP, Daniel Okyem Aboagye.

“Wofa Atta, as he was affectionately known, served the party selflessly till his last breath. His resolve and spirited zeal to contribute his resources, time and energy toward the progress of both the party and the country continued even after he left parliament”, parts of the statement read.

STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF HON. DANIEL OKYEM ABOAGYE

It is with a heavy heart that I write to officially announce to you, members and sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party in the region and beyond, of the unfortunate passing of our dear brother and fellow patriot, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye, the immediate past Member of Parliament for the Bantama Constituency.

Wofa Atta, as he was affectionately known, served the party selflessly till his last breath. His resolve and spirited zeal to contribute his resources, time and energy toward the progress of both the party and the country continued even after he left parliament.

As we mourn our dear brother and celebrate beautiful his life, I humbly direct that all our party flags fly at half-mast at all our offices at the various constituencies across the region. I also appeal to all to say a word of prayer for him at our churches, tomorrow.

Wofa Atta will forever be remembered and appreciated for the great things he did for the party, the country and humanity.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
