Second vice Chairman for Okaikwei South, for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Nkrumah has cautioned those campaigning against Dr. Bawumia, using Ghana’s economic situation.
According to him, it doesn’t make sense to solely blame Dr. Bawumia for Ghana’s economic woes. When in actual fact, it was as a result of a global pandemic we were faced as a country.
“The President and his Vice had admitted on several grounds that we are in difficult times, and this is not happening with Ghana only. It’s a global phenomenon. However, this is a propaganda set up by the NDC to tarnish the image of the Vice President because he is the only candidate the party fears”, he said on Movement TV.
“Bawumia has never run away from economic situations…what we need to know is that if the NDC was in power, things would have been worse than it is now…they are accusing Bawumia of saying that he had arrested the dollar and yet the cedi rate keeps depreciating…they’ve failed to explain to Ghanaians the reason for the depreciating”, he added.
