Broadcast Journalist with Wontumi Multimedia, Dasebre Agyei Dwamena, has emphatically stated that if Alan Kyeremanten returns to the party and he’s accepted, then he will also resign from the party.
According to the ace-broadcaster, the former Trades minister, has been overpampered in the party.
This comes after the former New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Alan Kyerematen announced his decision to resign from the party and to contest as an independent candidate in 2024.
“Under the circumstances, and given the context provided I wish to use this platform to announce that I am honorably resigning with immediate effect from the NPP to contest for the high office of the President of the Republic of Ghana as an independent presidential candidate,” he said during a press conference on Monday, 25th September 2023.
Speaking during the newspaper review on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV, he noted that “let’s about time we call a spade a spade…Alan Kyeremanten has been overpampered in the party and I think this is the best time to let him know that the party could still survive without him. His resignation is an advantage to the NPP. Anytime a leading member of a party resigns, it inures to the benefit of the party…the party always win the election…so hopefully, NPP will win the 2024 elections”, he said.
