Atuguba Should Be Considered As A Running Mate For Mahama- Maurice Ampaw

Private legal practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, has opined that Supreme court Judge Stephen Atuguba Rtd, should be considered as a running mate for former President Mahama.

He explains that the kind of propaganda and damage control the retired Judge is doing for the NDC suggests as though, he will want to become a running mate for Mahama and thus, the party should consider him.

Maurice Ampaw spoke to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV/ Wontumi Radio.

“How is it that you were called for an interview, and you decided to veer away from the topic you were to discuss but chose to extend appreciation to persons who are anti-NPP including Kevin Taylor, Kojo Baah among others. These are all people you could clearly see that they are working for the opposition NDC….How do you encourage people who continue to denigrate the ruling government with all sorts of insults and attacks as a revered Judge”, he asked.

He added that the saddest part of it all was when he, Atuguba described a ruling of Supreme court Judges of nine, as useless because he disagreed with their ruling.

“He should have known better a retired Judge…He should have known that it’s not cast in stone that all Judges on a panel should agree to one judgement. Legal profession is a profession of disagreeing. This is why they argue their cases out. Once you don’t agree with the ruling, you don’t use defamatory words against the judiciary only because you want to satisfy a political party”, Lawyer Ampaw said.
