Morning show host for Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV, Kwaku Dawuro has rubbished bribery allegations leveled against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to the broadcaster, if the elections were won based on money, then Dr. Bawumia would have woefully lost the Super Delegates conference, since there were some candidates who claimed they are richer than all other candidates.
“The election is won based on competency and credibility of the candidate and not how rich or poor the candidate is. Since Dr. Bawumia became a Vice President, there’s not even a single allegation of corruption that could be leveled against him…this is the reason many CSO came out to defend him when he was fingered in Charles Boahen’s expose…Imani Ghana, CDB, Media Foundation for West Africa among others defended the credibility and integrity of Dr. Bawumia….Nobody, can accused Bawumia of corruption…”, he explained.
He admonished Kennedy Agyapong to play mischief with his money and leave Bawumia out of his campaign.
“This is to those who came out publicly to tell Ghanaians that they have money in their room…you can go out and play mischief with your money and leave Dr. Bawumia out of your campaign…They have gone to the extent of accusing government of furnishing Dr. Bawumia with funds from the IMF…If it’s all about money, Dr. Bawumia would have lost the election in advance…I know a candidate who paid delegates with as low as Five Thousand Ghana cedis each and as high as three thousand cedis, with the intention of luring them to vote for him”, he said.
