- Some disgruntled supporters Of Kennedy vow to vote against him as they haven’t received the Ghs300 he shared to delegates.
Chairman Larry Yaw has been accused of sharing monies to people whom he believes are supporters of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.
This has sparked uproar among delegates who are casting their ballot today in Nkwanta South. According to some of disgruntled delegates who didn’t receive some of the token from Chairman Larry Yaw but claim they are supporters of Kennedy Agyapong; they have begun leaving the voting centre even though they were already queued up to cast their ballot.
They have therefore informed Kennedy Agyapong to blame Chairman Larry Yaw, if he loses the election in the constituency because the latter is the reason most delegates are not going to cast their ballot.
“We are all supporters of Kennedy Agyapong…so why did the constituency chairman decide to leave us out from the sharing of token…we are no longer going to vote again…”, one supporter said.

- Voting ends in Bosomefreho as at 11:13AM
Voting has come to an end at Bosomefreho in the Ashanti region. As reported earlier, officials from the EC arrived at the center as early before 6AM and by 7AM, the voting kicked-off.
464 delegates were expected to cast their ballot and as at 11:43AM, all 464 delegates have casted their ballot.

- President Akufo-Addo arrives at party’s headquarters to vote.
President Akufo-Addo has arrived at the NPP’s headquarters in Accra to cast his ballot. Many national executives are expected to vote at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia casted his ballot and left the centre just about a while ago.

- Dr. Bawumia Casts His Ballot; Gains Wide Media Coverage Than Fierce Contender
The Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, has gone to the party’s head office in Accra to cast his ballot in the ongoing Presidential primaries.
Per reports so far, the Vice President garnered a lot of media attention than his fierce contender, Kennedy Agyapong, as both candidates have successfully, casted their ballot.
Speaking to one of the protocols for the Vice President, Nana as he’s affectionately called noted that the Dr. Bawumia is going heading to his residence in Accra, to rest and await what the result will be.
The team is however optimistic that the Vice President will emerge victorious.

- EC officials arrived as early as 6AM with heavy security presence at Bosomefreho
Electoral commission (EC) officials at Bosomefreho arrived at the polling centre as early before 6AM, to ensure that the election runs successfully.
Speaking to our reporter, Nana Agyei, he noted that when he arrived at the voting centre at 6AM, officials of the electoral commission had already brought their materials and set up, waiting for delegates to troop in to cast their ballot.
464 delegates are expected to vote at Bosomefreho out of which 260 have already casted their ballot as at 10AM.
There are 85 polling stations with 445 polling executives.

- Breaking-the-eight-year jinx starts today- Dasebre Advises NPP delegates.
Broadcast Journalist, Dasebre Agyei Dwamena has urged delegates going to the polls to elect a new flagbearer for NPP to ensure that they cast the right ballot.
According to him, the party’s quest to break-the-eight- democratic jinx begins today. This is the reason for which delegates should ensure that they vote for a candidate who is competent and marketable. This, he noted is Dr. Bawumia.
“The only candidate that could help the party garner enough votes from our weak holds is Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and this is the reason they ought to vote for him. NPP needs to ensure that they are able to gain enough votes from the northern belts in the 2024 elections to emerge victorious”, he said on Movement in the morning show on Movement TV.

- The elections will be held peacefully- Asante Akim Central MP assures delegates.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akim Central, William Owuraku Aidoo, has assured delegates of the constituency that the primaries will be held peacefully without any chaos and as such, they should come out in their numbers to cast their ballot.
Speaking to our reporter, Sarkodie Peprah, he noted that Asante Akim Central has never recorded any election violence and this wouldn’t be the first time, the constituency will record one...”security arrangements have been made to ensure the election is held peacefully. I will however advise supporters of the various candidates to ensure that they comport themselves so well to ensure there’s peace and order”, he said.

- Security arrangement beefed up at Afigya Kwabre South as elections started at 7AM
The Presidential primaries have started peaceful at Afigya Kwabre South in the Ashanti region. Speaking to our reporter, Hayford Sarpong, he noted that security arrangement has been beefed up at the polling centres, as over 20 police personnel are manning the centre to ensure that there’s peace and order throughout the election.
He notes that one thousand and fifty-one delegates are expected to cast their ballot. Out of this number, fourteen are executives as two had resigned. Five are patrons and five council of elders with One hundred and eighty-eight polling station executives.
