A communications team member for the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Awal Mohammed, has chided former President Mahama for not even constructing a single polcyclinic in Bamboe.
Awal Mohammed noted that even after former President Mahama had been a Member of Parliament in that area, later on becoming a Vice President and subsequently a President, he could provide electorates of the constituency a polyclinic to address their health challenges.
This, he noted was an indication that the NDC flagbearer didn’t care about the wellbeing of even those in his hometown. What assurance can be given to Ghananians that when he becomes the President to g0vern over 30 million citizens, he can provide us better health systems among others, when he couldn’t provide for just one constituency.
He spoke to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.
“In 2016 when the then candidate visited the area, the king lamented bitterly over the challenges they are faced with as a result of absence of pipe-borne water and health center. It was then that Akufo-Addo promised that if he’s elected, he will address those challenges. Lo and behold, after he became President, he had ensured that those challenges are no more…he addressed those challenges within two years”, he explained.
He notes that the NDC currently have no message for Ghanaians and therefore have to resort to politics of insults.
“Dr. Bawumia is not running away from the records of the government. He’s a man of his own and thus will bring in his own vision. He led and wrote the party’s manifesto in 2020”, he said.
