Former Chief Executive for Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company, Maame Frances Essiam, has disclosed her intentions of contesting NPP flagbearership race in 2028.
Making such declaration on ‘Ghana Nti’ show on Wontumi Radio, the National communications member of NPP, noted that since there are some members of the party who have started making their intentions of contesting the race in 2028, even when the party had just elected a new flagbearer, then she’s equally declaring her intentions now.
“When next the party opens nominations for the Presidential primaries, I, Odeneho Obantanpa Frances Ewurabena Essiam will also pick up forms to contest the elections…In this case, all the hopefuls will be plenty, and we will be given platforms to campaign…definitely we are all going to get supporters to throw their weight behind us. In this case, when you lose, you will concede defeat in good faith and find luck next time…So, Ghanaians should expect this in the year 2028 and beyond…NPP has not only the men, but women too”, she told Isaac Oteng.
Although she never mentioned names, it is suggested those jabs are for former Presidential aspirant for NPP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, who has declared his intention of contesting again after his defeat.
