Mr. Kwabena Agyapong has emphatically stated that he harbors no hatred in his heart for Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
His comments comes come back of a statement he made on another TV network where he stated categorically that Vice President Bawumia should be grateful to the New Patriotic Party for making him their running mate when their constitution didn’t approve of it.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, he reiterated that no one in NPP has used a northerner and dumped him or her.
In 2008 Bawumia, Mr. Agyapong stated that Dr. Bawumia wasn’t a member of NPP but then General Secretary Ohene Ntow gave him a waiver to become a running mate to then candidate Akufo-Addo despite not qualifying for the party’s membership.
“In 2008, Bawumia wasn’t a member of the party. Before you can become the NPP’s flagbearer of running mate, you should have been a member of the party for five years or more”, he explained.
He pleaded with the public not misconstrue his statements noting that “I don’t hate Bawumia but I am just telling the fact as it is.”
