A 20 year old girl named Akua has shared a story of how a 50 year old man impregnated her before she got to know the said man had three children and his last born was even older than her.
She disclosed this shocking revelation on Wontumi Nka Wasem a social program on Movement TV with Maame Dufie and Counsellor Lutterodt.
She said, “I dropped out of school at class 6 due to financial situations. I quitted and began farming where I made 3 cedi a day. I met Efo who said he was interested in me so he went to see my grandmother and declared his intentions to marry me. My grandma noted she cannot consent the marriage without the approval of my parents who were in Liberia. I began going out with Efo and later became pregnant. I went to live in his house during the pregnancy and that is when I got to know he has three children. He took care of the baby while I was pregnant but after birth, he has neglected the child”.
“He one day invited me to his house for the child’s up keeping money, but he had sex with me again, and now I am pregnant with our second child’’, she added.
Heavily pregnant Akua disclosed that she is currently homeless and sleeps at the mercy of mosquitoes and the cold weather because she doesn’t have a decent home to stay with her child.
But after sharing her ordeal on the program, the team intervened and Efo is expected to appear on the show on Monday July 18, 2022, to tell his side of the story.
