A member of the NPP communications team, Paul Amaning, has asserted that no Ghanaian politician has been able to take bold initiatives like Dr. Bawumia has indicated in his policy statement.
He explains that after the delivering of Dr. Bawumia’s vision, Civil Society Organizations and Trade Unions have bought into the idea and that is the reason they haven’t reacted negatively after his delivery.
“There is no single politician in Ghana politics who has ever taught of restructuring the economy of Ghana, like Dr. Bawumia has, since 1957. Dr. Bawumia thought of a digital way of making every individual and properties in Ghana identified. Aside that, he linked the identification to all the resources- meaning digital records is effective. He has reformed the economy of Ghana to a standard that things will be smooth soon”, he said.
He mentioned that the manner at which the CSOs are heaping praises on the Presidential candidate for NPP, Dr. Alhaji Bawumia is an indication that they have trust in him, and he’s definitely going to deliver.
He went further to highlight the essence of the Gold for oil policy, which he stated that it looks as though Ghanaians are really not talking about the policy. However, it will inure to the benefit of the country.
“One exciting thing about the policy which people are not talking about is that it is the second currency of Ghana. The cedi is usually valueless when once you travel outside the country and this is the reason Ghana has decided to get the second highest currency which is the Gold. This will help appreciate the cedi against the dollar. With the gold coin and certificate, Ghanaians can travel anywhere around the world”, he said on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro.
