What The Gov’t Is Facing In Parliament Is Self-Inflicted- Fransoa

A member of the NPP communications team, fransoa has accused the majority members of Parliament for the stiff resistance the government is suffering in Parliament.

According to him, the NPP members of Parliament had the opportunity to elect a speaker than sided with them. However, they chose to vote against their own due to apathy and decide to choose a speaker of Parliament from the opposition party and that is the repercussion of what they did.

He spoke to Kwaku Dawuro on Movement In The Morning show on Movement TV.

“Bagbin has taken an untrenched position and I think we’ve leaders in this country, who must sit him down and speak to him. Our President is an executive President, and he can take any position he wants to take, however, once the constitution has given Parliament those powers, he only needs to comply, and it is for this reason that the Speaker has such powers, and he intends to dictate for the government. It’s a wrong notion”, he explained.

He noted that what the party is currently facing is a self-inflicted wound.

“We need to learn from what is happening in Parliament as a party…we need to unite as a party…. this is a self-inflicted wound…NPP had the numbers than the NDC so how come Bagbin won the elections. There was no commitment during that election and that is the reason he has the guts to suspend a whole government…. We should know that we have just one political party…there’s no alternative”, he added.

In furtherance, he advised party sympathizers to unite and rally behind the flagbearer for NPP.
