Ace Broadcaster, Gordon Asare Bediako has vehemently expressed displeasure over the recent hike in prices of goods and services.
According to the managing editor for ABCNews, the rate at which prices continue to skyrocket each passing day is alarming and with just some few months more to elections, its likely to affect the party’s chances in winning the upcoming elections.
This comes on the back of speculations that the price for renewal of Ghana Card has increased from 35 cedis to 150 Ghana cedis.
“This is something I started hearing over the weekend and as we speak, there’s no official communique from the National Identification Authority to explain things better to Ghana. Not too long ago, prices for Passport were equally increased astronomically. These are some of the things we keep lamenting about and the only response you get from party officials is that we should exercise patience. This is something that even if the President of the land makes an announcement about, I expect Dr. Bawumia to make a counter announcement against this. Nobody can defend this rubbish and if you guys go ahead to do this, kiss 2024 goodbye”, he expressed disappointment.Â
“What at all is this…after going through a whole lot of stress before getting the Ghana card and per adventure, it gets missing, you need One Hundred and Fifty Ghana cedis to replace. The party has a very crucial election to win, and we must not be repeating certain mistakes. The kind of conversation going on in town, is nothing good to write home about…Something ought to be done…”, he added.Â
